I have added the articles on creating mosaic floors in a Roman villa reconstruction onto the website under one heading page. You can find that here http://bit.ly/2CFwt65
I’m redoing the website with another host so at the moment it is basically the homepage with ‘Website being updated’ on it. I’m trying to add things in a more cohesive manner so it will be easier to navigate around, well that’s the plan anyway!
I’m back from my short break now so will be posting again. I’m using this blog site while I decide what to do with the websites etc. The main part of what I do now is around the online courses as I can reach many more people and the shop side was taking up more time than I had. I’m working on the Teaching courses and there will be the Working with Stone course up soon. This will be another free course. http://yescourse.com/academy/roman-mosaic-workshops/
I have a number of new articles to go up and the host site for the Roman Mosaic Pattern Database is taking shape so there will be more news on those soon. I’m away at the moment and managed to leave my laptop charger behind hence I’ve not been posting much! More this weekend coming.
I’ve just put together a free online course in using the hammer and hardie, the classic tools used for cutting marble for at least the last 2,000 years.
The course goes through, whether you actually need a set, what types there are, positioning from how you grip the hammer, different positions to sit and a lot more.
The course is free to enroll you just get added to the Roman mosaic newsletter list, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and your email details are never shared with anyone else.
Here’s the link to the academy; http://yescourse.com/academy/roman-mosaic-workshops/
I’m now just concentrating on the on line courses so this blog is taking over as the main site. I will be expanding on this and linking in the Roman Mosaic Pattern database, watch this space!
